Reverse Osmosis (RO) Stages For Home:
Stage 1: Sediment Filter
The water first passes through a high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter, which removes particles up to 5 microns, including rust, dust, and sediment.
Stage 2: Activated Carbon Filter
An activated carbon filter is used to remove impurities up to 5 microns, acting as a pre-filter for the next stage. During this stage, chlorine, unpleasant tastes, odors, colors, and cloudiness are removed from the water.
Stage 3: Activated Carbon Block Filter
In this stage, water flows through an activated carbon block filter, which is a 5-micron filter that further eliminates any remaining chlorine, tastes, odors, chemicals, and chloramines.
Stage 4: Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane
Water is pressed through the core of the RO membrane, with a pore size of 0.0001 microns. This semi-permeable membrane effectively removes dissolved solids (TDS), viruses, bacteria, lead, arsenic, sodium, cysts, giardia, chromium, and a wide range of other impurities.
Stage 5: Post Activated Carbon Filter
The final activated carbon filter acts as a polishing filter, removing any residual tastes and odors as the water exits the storage tank, leaving it fresh and clean.
Stage 6: Alkaline Filter for pH Balancing
The alkaline filter adjusts the acidic RO water to an ideal natural alkaline level, adding back essential minerals such as ionized calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium, which were removed during filtration.
Stage 7: Antibacterial Nano Filtration
This filter stage kills 99.9% of bacteria, including E. coli, ensuring any bacteria passing through the RO membrane are fully removed for safer drinking water.
